Bill Gates has been talking about a touch screen book/tablet device being used in schools for years, and we're finally getting a glimpse at it.

It doesn't appear to be very practical for anything other than school work, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. From what I've seen, most things rely on hand gestures, which doesn't make for a great UI. It could just be a misleading video.

Basically, it's a really big multi-touch DS. Software sells hardware, and the software didn't really impress me, but it's hard to tell with only one video.

I hope to see more on this soon.

I like the look of it. I really want a tablet; I think I'll probably get one long before this comes out though.

Not even a real demo. No live persons. Just commentary on the video and some computer graphics, so I'm not impressed by it, but the idea is nice.
