how to input own name

may sound like a stupid question, but how do i get it so the player can insert his own name at the start of the game?

did it on an old game years ago, but havent done anything with rpg maker in years so forgot everything!

if you're still online sometimes here's your answer: make an autorun event at the start of the game and select: 'Name Input Proccessing' in the event commands window... that's it! as simple as that!
