Status Effect Running from Common Event

Summary
Basically, I need to be able to make a certain Common Event run when characters get certain Status Effects. Here's an example:

In my new project, an enemy has a skill that can cause your characters to get caught in a trap. They then get the "Trapped" status effect. When their turn comes around, they will have a choice of either attempting a small minigame to get free, "auto" attempting to get free, or just defending.

It's basically just an event that will run at the beginning of the effected character's turn. I've tried everything I can think of, but I'm almost positive I'll need a script for this. Although, if anyone else can point out an easier way to event this, please do.

Features Desired
  • Allowing Status Effects to be run from Common Events

If you need any more details, please ask. I would like this rather soon, since it is a big part of my battle system plans.

Thanks. I never even thought about the troop event setting thing. I'll try that out right now

EDIT: Strange. That doesn't seem to be working. D: Seems like it should though. Although, from what I've seen, that "Battle Event" thing doesn't really seem to work correctly.

Beside Condition: does it say Don't run?

If so try changing that to turn, and for the boxes put 0, and 1. Then the condition should read Turn 1x. Then do the rest of the settings as Kipe showed you.
