Sorry to be a bother, but I was wondering if you could help me with the story of my game. You don't have to go into any detail, but I was wondering if anyone has like a questionnaire or something to help decide what the story is. Sorry, I always have trouble starting a story and keeping it long.
This probably won't help you.But yeah, what Lazer Kirby posted is a marvelous guide to get your story going. Keep in mind that it will
only get your story going. Once you have the basics of your adventure/mystery/drama/etc. down (In writing!!), there are a couple different ways you can branch out. It varies by person, so you just have to do whatever works the best for you. Some people write out their game like they would a novel, some plot out major points in their games (I.E. important cities, plot twists, character development), and some do something completely different.
Try putting together a couple mock stories if you aren't quite sure how to prolong an adventure. Set point A (where you start) and point B (where you end), and fill in the middle. Keep filling it in until you have something you're happy with, and only after that should you start work on your game.
