RMRK.net has nothing to do with Blockchains, Cryptocurrency or NFTs. We have been around since the early 2000s, but there is a new group using the RMRK name that deals with those things. We have nothing to do with them.
NFTs are a scam, and if somebody is trying to persuade you to buy or invest in crypto/blockchain/NFT content, please turn them down and save your money. See this video for more information.

I'm a new guy making my first game, and I'm still at that stage where I'm sort of of experimenting with stuff.

I tried to make a simple intro cutscene for my game using Windows Movie Maker. I threw it together and saved it to my computer. I open up RM2K3 and attempt to import it under "videos" and...

Nothing. I checked the folder that I saved it under, and it wasn't there. I saved the cutscene to a different location and tried it again. Nothing.

Does anybody know how to fix this or am I missing something? I greatly appreciate your help.

Try using the format *.*avi or Mpg

When you open up rpgmaker2003 and import the movie it should say these two file exts, if you change it to all it is likely that rm2k3 does not support wmv or anything of that nature.

Also, i just tried a large movie file, and it crashed my maker, the maker may also not like some codecs that most movie makers use. try using tmpg or something similar to dub a raw file,After trying a few things im not sure what will work. i'm mostly sure that your file did not come up because you made it a wmv. or something.

Wow, thanks!

I converted the movie to an AVI file, and the video played perfectly.
