I read trough this tutorial to get some basic knowledge

http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,762.0.html

And when the tut describes the events and goes in to helo you make a switch event, where if you kill a ghost you get a potion from a man.

When you set up the event for the battle with the ghost, it says:

"Now go to the event named ghost and choose enemy encounter (3-1-1). Then under the victory handler turn switch 2 on."

Where is the victory handler? I've serached for 20 min, there is no such thing in the events list, or in the battle proccess event.

Can't find it.

...wow. Set a battle process FIRST in an event. I didn't read through the tutorial, but some how I would imagine it would be in there. If you think escaping is necessary, check that box and you'll be given the option to do some stuff if you escape successfully.

It's like how a conditional branch has the options Then and Else. Except for battle processing is If Win (Then turn your switch on) and If Lose (game over screen) or if you checked on the escape button, then If Escape (Text: Your a vagina for running.)...etc

I know that 3-1-1 means battle proccess.

That I didn't comment.

The problem was that teh tutorial (the one that should explain about how things are done) never mentioned that checking the "Can escape" would bring out the "if win" and "if lose" conditions.

That is really unlogical.

If Win should be a condition in the first place.

Checked it, and found it. Thank you.

Well, check the other box, "Continue When Lose" and that will give you a condition for if Lose if you don't want that to go immediately to Game Over.
