Has anyone here had any problems running a game made in RPG Maker 2k3 because of a file named: binkw32.dll ?
If so, is there any way to fix this?

what's the error message? is it that it cannot find that dll? cause you can go and download dlls and register them yourself then try again.

Is that a safe and reliable method of doing that?

And the error that's being received is something along the lines of: "application couldn't be opened because the part binkw.32dll can't be found. You may remove the problem by re-installing the application."

The game was uninstalled and re-installed again, but the error was still occurring.

It's not the safest thing, but I've had several issues with dll's and haven't had any problems yet.

Apparently binkw32 is pretty common. It sat at the top of the most downloaded dll list.

Also, if you download it, here's how you install it.

p.s. Make sure you put it in your system32 folder.

Okay, I think I might have discovered what the problem was. I think the problem lies in the installer package. I used Clickteam's InstallCreator program to bundle the Myth Xaran game so that when people install the game, it will make an icon on their desktop and they won't have to hunt for the game folder just to start it up. But ever since I did this, I was receiving some binkw32.dll errors. I sen the person the game using RM2k3's game disk bundler, and they got it working fine (I don't think an icon shows up on the desktop, though). So it seems like the binkw32.dll error lies somewhere in the InstallCreator program, unfortunately.
