Parallel Process SFX loop won't restart after battle

So here's my problem:

I have a sound effects loop playing in the background of one of my dungeons (creepy wind, etc.) using a parallel process event.  It looks something like this:

Parallel Process
Switch: Wind (on)
Play SFX: Wind
Wait: 30.0 (the length of the sfx clip... this is how I get it to loop)

But, every time a battle starts, the sfx loop gets cut off and won't restart after the battle's over.  Is there any way I can get the parallel process loop to restart or have the loop run continuously through the random battles?  These sound effects are pretty integral to the dungeon's concept, I really don't want to have to abandon this idea...

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sonic Dog -> Light Spear -> Overlimit -> Slash
I dunno if this will work, but try setting battle music to nothing and copying that same process into your battle events page. If that doesn't solve anything, then see if you can make your sound effect a midi and have it loop as your BGM. I do know that it's possible to keep BGM running through battles, but I'm not so sure about sound effects.

Oh, if you mean howling wind on top of your BGM, then blarg. I can look into it, but just not right now.
