Ok, so this is the battle sprite for the main character of my game, Chained Freedom. His name is Noctis.
Yea, I think I may need to do better with the shading, but I don't know if it's good as is. So, I come to you all as to ask for your critiques. Well, that's enough out of me. Now, I shall wait to hear from the public.

Bernkastel

I actually like it, but it definitely needs shading, as you say.

The sword looks a little funny to me...as if it were kind of lopsided.. at the handle.

is he supposed to be so pale? o.o

you need to define the wrinkles.

his left shoulder (his left) looks funny. like, it looks like there's no clothes on him, as if he just had a rag around his neck.....but that's me :S

I hope I'm helping

Thank you. All Critiques shall be takin into consideration. And, I will look into what you have told me. Again, thanks.

I actually like this as well. Seriously 99% of the people that post figure drawings for critique have horrible proportion. However, you seem to have done an excellent job. I don't feel like this character is unbalanced or funny looking and he appears very grounded while actually just floating around in white space like that.

Only criticism I have is:
-Clean up the linework
-Shading
-Anti-aliasing (after shading)
-Straighten the sword. (I can even see this character wielding a larger sword, so it's up to you to make it longer or not, but it could be interesting.)

Other than that, you did an excellent job and if your game has all of your styled artwork like this, then it should be a very beautiful game.

DeathLock~

Its a beautiful start, as I said its only a start.

So far you only have a shading outline, once you properly shade it up. Don't forget to go shade over the outline as well, we don't want no black outline, now do we. ^^

Thank you kindly for your responses everyone. I'm working on the sprite right now.

@ DeathLockBG: No we don't! I'll fix it soon.
