No sound in XP?

I had to re-install XP, i i installed XP3, had some trouble finding a graphics driver and sounds drivers.

I got the graphic drivers off their and sound, but i still have no sound from system or anything else i have checked my speakers but still nothing :(

Tried 'em lol 

Had a search around and downloaded the newest ones which also didn't work :(

I'd try finding out what brand/model your motherboard is and getting the drivers from them instead of from packard, which don't make them.

I've had this problem before and it turned out that it was something taken from the XP torrent i downloaded :/ so im gonna make a new install with a different torrent :)

Does it do the same for VX and do other programs have sound?
and check your Direct X and make sure its 9.0

XP as in windows XP the OS :)

Last time my parent's computer had this problem, it turned out to be a faulty sound card. ._.

O my bad. Thats very odd cause XP usually picks up the drivers and you have sound no matter what.

Could be that too. It does sound like it would be that.

It still could fail. Try finding a sound card you can stick in the PCI slot and see if it works. If you have one.
