In RPG Maker 2003, how do you change the enemy's basic attack animation? I'm talking about the animation that appears around the hero when he gets hit. I've looked all over the database and can't find any option to change it. Thanks to anyone who can help...

Sonic Dog -> Light Spear -> Overlimit -> Slash
I'm pretty sure the default attack animation is the simple your hero goes "Augh!" But you can go into skills, make an "attack" skill of your own with an animation you like (Maybe spear 2 or something, or one you make yourself) and damage equal to what you want it to be, then under the monster tab, change the normal "Attack" function to the attack with the animation you set up.

I actually haven't tried this, but it works fine in my head :P

That works. I think the default enemy attack is too flashy. I just wanted to make something simple. Thanks, man.

you can also replace the the very first animation in the animation tab. That's the default for enemy strikes and hero strikes
