[Visual] Trouble with an assignment...

Blah blah blah...

So right now I'm doing a photojournalism assignment which involves taking 15 pictures from a camera/web and combining them using photoshop to create a single image which shows a sort of compositional theme. I also have to manipulate each image to fit the compositional theme using photoshop.
One of the problems I'm having is that I can't think of any theme, or what not for a picture. I also don't get what it means by "Combining", whether it's a collage (which would make sense and be easier to do), or if I actually have to blend them into one picture.
Second is finding pictures as photographing them myself is almost impossible. I don't own a camera and the one the school uses can't go off campus, so I'm stuck taking pictures of hallways which I don't want to do.
Third is the varying compositional themes on the web, as each google result will yield different rules of composition than another.

So if you want to help, you can:
1. Brainstorm some ideas of what I could do for this image. What kind of theme to follow, what style of imagery I should use, etc.
2. List the compositional rules and what they mean.

Hm... well it sounds like you need to make a collage or something similar. Who knows. Ask your prof!

As far as ideas go... how big is your campus? At my university there are several seemingly "abandoned" areas that nobody goes to or are shut down. There's also a basement in the library that is really creepy because of hardly any lighting and it's all basically just law records.

Perhaps you could do something like that; empty, alone places inside the school.  :)

I'll try the collage idea. As for photos, my school isn't that big and everywhere looks the same. Maybe I'll just use photos from the net, but that's harder than it seems. Not like you could type in something and get the photos you want exactly the way you want it. At least assignments are module based, and I could take as long as I want on this one while I do other ones.
