Request Help: Event and "Forbidden Zone" scripting

I had a decent guide I was following, but it ended halfway through the event and "forbidden" zone scripting.  I know I'm probably asking a silly question, but I'd like it if somebody could give me some direct help with it, or just link me to a tutorial or something cohesive and coherent.  Anything would be appreciated.

Oh, yeah... if anyone could be troubled to also help with tile questions--mostly how to create and import tilesets.  Thanks in advance.
