Problem on RM2000

I got 2k3 to work but not 2000, escpecially the 2000 rtp. I have 2000 installed just can't get a project going. Any Ideas? My operating system is vista.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling rm2k.

i had the exact same problem. most likely, it's because vista is terrible. You probably do not want to change your OP but 2k is incompatible with vista and there are no patches that i know of, so sorry man.

Is there any specific reason you want to use 2k? if it's because it's simpler than 2k3, then you should know 2k3 is basically the same with a few additional options, and if you like the battle system better than you can emulate it by hiding the heroes (by giving them all invisible battlecharas) and placing the monsters as you would in 2k normally.

Not really. RM2K has a turn-based battle system that works fine. RM2K3 has a glitchy ATB battle system that has several known errors (such as over-dependence on the agility stat, the fact that Wait and Active don't work properly and the fact that the system jams up whilst enemies are using skills). The whole reason I am using RM2K for my project is because of how glitch the RM2K3 battle system is.
