On top of a snowy hill by night,
I sit and bask in the soft pale light,
Content to be just you and me,
Such a wonderful sight.
The snow falls 'round wild and free,
Like a beautiful crystaline sea,
And the breeze through the trees,
Sounds an enchanting melody.
I hold you close with a quiet please,
Seeking warmth from a gentle squeeze,
This is our special night afar,
And I wish time would just freeze.
We turn to gaze at the brightest star,
One nearly as beautiful as you are,
Only it's too high up in the sky,
Whereas you are not so far.
The end of Christmas night is nigh,
We both let out a sad little sigh,
And though we apart must be,
I don't want to say goodbye.
The winds start howling like a banshee
Ever urging us on to run and flee,
But you know that the snow
Holds no power o'er me.
I'll take a moment before I go,
Just so I can let you know,
That tonight just felt right,
And that I love you so.
Merry Christmas~
