Is there a way to have a side-scrolling battle background.

I saw this video on youtube with these characters fighting a boss and they were running while the battle went on.
While they ran, the battleback moved in the opposite direction of the characters.

I wanted to know if there is a script you can use to make this happen or if there is another way. Any help will be appreciated.
