Hi there!
I'm now using Rpg maker xp for a while, and I started a new project a while ago, but I kinda hate the menu
that comes with rpg maker, so I designed something I liked. The only problem is that I am worthless when
it comes to scripting, so I kinda hoped you could help me out here.

I have made a very basic design of the menu system with ms paint:
Spoiler for:

This is my idea:
When you press up/down, you scroll through: Items, Status, Equip, Save, (Quests). When one of this commands
is selected by the cursor, it zooms in a bit like "Equip" in the screenshot. then when you press Space, the Equip window pops up. The map name is displayed, as well as the Gold window. The Equip window (and the others, but i take Equip as example) doesn't have to be this size, it can be bigger or smaller, it doesn't  really matter. When you press left/right the equip and status menu switch between party members.

So, the main features will be:
- Up/Down: Scroll through the menu commands.
- Left/Right: When the Equip or Status window is active, switch between party members' equipment or stats.
- Map name is displayed
- Gold window is displayed.

I hope I explained it good enough, I kinda confused myself writing this post. So if you don't get it, just post that you don't get it and i'll try to explain it better.
I will make some more examples for the Status, Item, Save, Equip windows. I'll post them when they're finished.

Thanks!

You're damn lucky you changed the topic before I had a chance to post.
