Yeah, my friend needs help making a solo with these chords:

B7(#5#9)
Em9
A13(b9)
D(6/9)
E13
A7(b5#9)
C13(#11)

I tried making a solo but I failed, lol. The problem is that I think it was the E13 that didn't seem to really fit in.

lol, really? Jazz harmony/theory is pretty advanced stuff. Are you sure your friend knows what he's doing?

I could give it a shot, though. My notes from Jazz Harmony would pretty much tell me exactly what scales to use.  I'd like to hear the progression, though, so I can hear the rhythm and feel of the song.

Lol, yea, thought so. He's in the jazz band at school. I thought I could do it but... ;-; Also, could you post up your the Jazz harmony/theory notes? :D

Uhhhh...  I'll try and get a midi. XD Also, would D(6/9) be the same as D6add9? I also do not know how often the chords should come up. Like once a bar, twice, thrice, etc.

EDIT: His solo needs to be for a trumpet.
