    • I currently use Miranda IM + mIRC for my messaging
    but it's annoying to work with mIRC, and if it's worth it, I'll just get Pidgin running for IRC as well as my other stuff.

    Thing is I'm looking at Miranda and seeing the open-customizability of it, and mIRC allows me to connect to 5 servers to access my different chats.

    I also hate Trillian

    Are there any better options or?

    • Use XChat for IRC. It's kinda fugly from a default install, but it's easily customisable =)

    • I used XChat once, and the interface was kinda wierd at first, and I already had mIRC so I didn't bother xD
