The world of Farfalla is disturbed when two mysterious beings, only identifiable by the name "sora", land to earth in search of the "sisters".

What do YOU do in the game?

What do YOU think, this being an incredibly short oneshotish forum game?

Progress:

OH OKAY THIS IS BEING MOVED TO 2K3 SO THIS IS ALL KIND OF NULL :/

VX trial: Probably done by now
Kaoru's intro: 32%
Jeff's intro: 40%
Hero Facesets: 35% (Linearts are pretty much done, except for Kent and Emi's)
World Map 90% (Still needs fine tuning, but the layout is done.)
Database: N/A (General healing items are done, but i'm not sure what the scope of this game will be when it comes to weapons and such.)
Overall game: ummm like 20%.
New Dungeon: You don't want to know how many percentages.

Yeah, I know, these updates are so...consistent. I think school has me in routine. Scary...o.O. In the meantime, I've been going through the RMVX tuts archive and I'm at the point where I'm worshiping leventhan. Leventhan, be honored. I'm working on the first(?) dungeon. I've only just realized the full scope of the game that i'm making, after i have the entire thing mapped i have to make separate events for kaoru and jeff. Which means more work. Because if i'm going to make two separate storylines then i'm going to have to dump some replay value in there @_@.

In other news: What happens if the trial finishes before i do?

Well by then i'll probably have a pretty sick demo, so i didn't just waste like 64 hours of my time doing nothing.

Right, now i'm working on Kaoru's part of the storyline. She's in a forest. I'm still original*. As for here, i'm going to add some credits (I'm using more resources now :3). And after i'm done with the facesets, you get to see those too XD. Also, i got rid of the original opening paragraph up there, it was a bad joke anyways.

I don't have much done actually, too much school for that (*cough cough d gray man addiction*). I'm currently working on some facesets that look (somewhat) like the defaults. At least i'm trying, the linearts look okay . I believe the next step is going to be dungeons, there's going to be around four. because i'm original. Yeah.

Also, I have decided that *insert incomprehensible foreign language country name here* will be called Farfalla. I believe it means butterfly in italian or something...it's cooler if i misspelled it because then it's my word.

Jeff:
[spoiler] Usually Jeff is very extroverted, unlike many of his own kind he does not look upon the people in Farfalla as insects and actually enjoys talking to them. In contrast, he is deadly serious when it comes to his mission to find the sisters, and he will stop at nothing to find them. He probably has schizophrenia.

Kaoru:

If Jeff is schizophrenic, then Kaoru represents his other side: She does not respect any of the people in Farfalla as people, and will do anything to complete the mission.  As a result, she is often exasperated with Jeff's attempts to integrate himself in to the Farfalla's society.

Kent
[spoiler]
An aspiring alchemist, Kent joined the Guard in order to pay for tuition. He is especially interested in how flight can be archived using various compounds, or what he calls magic. Unfortunately, true magic has been lost in Farfalla for quite some time..

Emi
[spoiler]
Emi is a witch from the far northern reaches of Farfalla who became concerned with how far the cold has been reaching south when she discovered that most of the northern territories have been frozen solid. She is not very interested in Kaoru and Jeff's mission, but insists on following them anyways when it becomes evident that they may know the answer...

Features:

-A split-story from both Kaoru and Jeff's points of view, play both for different(ish) games 8D.

-Beat the crap out of the elusive "sisters" in order to complete Kaoru and Jeff's very very VERY mysterious mission.

-Specialize as a Wizard, Alternate, or Warrior in order to further yourself in the game

-Cringe as you see how short this game will probably be.

Yes, that all sounds pretty intricate for a 1-month (30day) game, but It is going to be pretty short, and the plotlines are actually pretty simple... D:.

I'm thinking about starting this up again, i'm working on sprite conversions now, i'm considering about whether or not to use the VX sprites or if i should just edit some refmap ones :/.
