Hey dudes. Allow me to introduce myself.
I haven't used RPGMaker for about 4 or 5 years now; that is, up until I recently acquired a copy of RMVX. I caught a hold of RPGMaker 95 back in early 1999, moved on to RM2k later on, and tinkered with RM2k3 a bit before I finally gave it up (losing your entire harddrive [twice] will do that to you.. /sigh). Now I've rediscovered and rekindled my love for game creation.
Scripting has always fascinated me, and it's a very new feature to me right now, since it wasn't implemented (as far as i can remember) in any of the RPGMakers I'd used before. I think it's what I'm most interested in learning, but my knowledge of programming is very limited.. EXTREMELY limited.
I previously used the alias "DragonShadow", so if you recognize me, hit me up, etc. I mostly lurked forums before, and spent alot of my time on IRC, so I doubt there are many who would recognize my name.
I enjoy lots of fast and painful music, and play/write music myself. I'm 22 and attending a community college in Salt Lake City UT currently.
Anyway, it just feels good to be back in the swing of things, but it's intimidating.. I've forgotten how difficult this could be. Either way, happy to be a part of this. Cheers!
