If Purity Was Light

If purity was light, the light would shine brightest in the beginning of its time
Slowly dimming because of the surrounding darkness rolling in towards it
When the light becomes darkness, the darkness engulfs the soul
confusing its thoughts, perverting them to terrible ways
Virginity is purity's last stand upon the world
When virginity, the greatest gift, is given to an ungrateful soul
May there be mercy for the light, for it is buried in worldliness

Never let the darkness engulf your light
For the light is the greatest thing to have
Protect your light, never let it go out
