Hi everyone, my name is Tim and I'm an alcoholic...na, not really, but I do enjoy the occasional drink.
As far as general background information, I am a 21 year old graduate student at the University of Denver in the heart of Colorado. We get a terrible wrap around here for being so rural, but let me tell that, as a native of Chicago, that's a terrible exaggeration. Anyway, I'm at this university to grab a degree in Sociology and Political Science, hoping to take these skills and get into journalism. Writing has always been my passion, though it has taken several forms over the years, but now I feel more focused than ever. When school's not in session, I work as a freelance interpreter, taking my knowledge of German, Italian, Spanish, Romanian, and Mandarin and using it to make some cash. On the side, I try my hand at stand-up comedy. My friends think I'm a riot, and I generally get a good response at my shows, though honestly I'm just telling the story of my life O_o.
As far as game design, it's been a hobby of mine ever since I was 8. I learned enough Japanese to use the first few programs (rm95/2k/2k3), and have been hooked ever since. I didn't really like RMXP, the graphics still look off to me and scripting was never an interest of mine. Oh well. I consider myself to be a pretty good Eventer (that's not a word, we need to find a new title >.<) and a decent mapper. I didn't start making my own projects until 2005, when I started The Song of Elegin. Guess helping people seemed much more fun than doing all the work. Unfortunately, about half way through production, my virus scan decided to piss on the fragments of my life and nuke the project folder. Losing over a year of data, I decided to scrap that one. I came back quickly with the idea for a Final Fantasy fan game, and have been working on that ever since. The demo release was pretty successful, and I thank my BETA team for that every chance I get
Well, that's about it. Here's to looking forward to seeing some new faces!
