How would I make it so that a piece of dialog plays ONCe at the beggining of a level? I can't use the auto-start because t hen it loops. I can set a trigger in the dialog event because then the event won't execute, and I can't make a trigger in a second event because then it loops.

Grrr! Could somebody please tell me how to do this?

EDIT: Details would probably help you guys, wouldn't they? RPG Maker 2003.

You can stop Autostart and Parallel Process events. One way is to give the event two pages and have the second page blank, Trigger, with a conditional switch. Then, put your event inside the first page and at the end of it, turn on the switch that conditions the second page.
