Well, I figured out how I could do this using events and I think I'll give it a shot. This is a basic run-down of it....

The battle is basically a scene and during the scene button icons appear on the screen. If you press the button in time, you'll either attack or dodge. If you fail to press it, then you'll take damage. This battle system would only work for special battles, of course. The way I have it set up is that you don't actually have an enemy that you are facing. If you survive the scene battle then you win. Its something like a lot of Resident Evil 4's scenes except for the fact that you won't die if you miss one command. You could have a health bar in the corner of the screen and every time you got hit, it would drop a bit. Also, these battles could be set to music and make a sort of action-rhythm battle.

If there's enough interest, I'll make it then make a tutorial on it. Also, if you'd like to help, the main thing I would need is graphics (i.e. Attacking sprites, defending sprites, etc.) If you don't think this is possible, that's too bad. I'll probably do it anyway. :P I'll be making this in RMXP. I'm currently working on an extremely simple version of this, but I'll make a better version if its wanted.

That is all. Tell me what you think.

Help would be great for when I make an all-out demo of it. I finished the really small version. You press only 3 buttons, but this way, you'll get a feel for it. I also commented in the event on what almost every event does so anyone could make this. This is really quite simple, just time-consuming.

Tiny Demo is attached.

I kind of think it sounds boring, but maybe not. I'd like to see you try it, at least.

Yeah... about that.....
@Catfish -
I'll be making this in RMXP.

@Revo - I think it's pretty cool sounding.  I'm not on a computer with RMXP on it, so I can't check it out, but I will as soon as I get my laptop back.
This is a signature.

A-Ha~
Tried the demo, and finally got what you mean by what you said.

To summarize it briefly, this thing is like the action buttons that appear in God of War.
Good idea, this. Good luck, Revo.
Be kind, everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

Thanks for all the comments. I was gone to Texas, but now I'm back. I've already started a better demo of this so I can make a good tutorial over it. I have found one bug though... If you hold all the "action" keys, you always get a success. I'm trying to find a way to remedy that situation at the moment.

Again, help is wanted and greatly appreciated.
