Hi, I just have a quick question to ask. I'm sorry if it's been asked before but it's difficult sifting through the hundreds of threads with the word font in  :-\.

Here's my situation, I've made an opening cutscene for my game but what I'd really like is to have the name of the area come up in big fancy letters in the middle of the screen at the start of it. But i don't want to use the same font as the rest of the game. I used this tutorial :
http://www.gamebaker.com/rmxp/tutorials/changing-font.htm
and i ended up with this. I put it at the beginning of another event so that i knew that it would display before anything else happened:
Spoiler for:

But every time i start up my game i get script errors.
I'd really appreciate some help

Thanks you guys

Bob

Edit: I managed to get the game working by turning the '.'s between the words to '_'s and getting rid of the font color line, which it was struggling with but it doesn't change the font style or size at all  ???
Again, i'd hugely appreciate any help with this matter

Bob

Yeah... about that.....
I'm not very experienced with RMXP, but I played a game once that did that.

The person who made it used pictures to display the area name.

Have you tried that?
This is a signature.
