Chicago was insane about St. Patricks day. They had its St. Patricks day parade on last Satuday as an excuse to get an early start on their drinking. 10:00 in the morning and already people were throwing up outside the Irish pub across the street. They dyed their entire river green, and I was greatly entertained watching as a woman wearing nothing but a clover-shaped bra top and thong got arrested for removing her clovers.

you see the parade and the lot was early  because every 136 i think years easter monday and saint patricks day are only a week between each other by the catholic church calendar and you cant celebrate to close to the death of jesus

I wore green for a little bit of it.

And yeah, they changed it because it can't fall on Holy Week. The last time they had to do it was in 1940 and the next time they'll change it is in 2160

I only realized it was St. Patrick's day when I read a comic in the newspaper on the way to school that day >_>
