My main reason isn't because I'm european and so used the EU verison, but I'm picking it. Seriously, what's with the bland purple and blocky shape of the US one?

The US SNES looks like something out of an 80s sci-fi movie. The EU one, with its shape and colours actually looks like a kid's toy (which it is).

Well, what do you want in your house, the sci-fi console, or the kids toy :P

The answer to me seems to be SNES, it'd go better with the Wii (Nintendo seems to like Sci-Fi).

Buttons look better on the EU version though.

EU one is totally sexier. I had a genesis, and before that a turbo grafx so I was totally out of the Nintendo loop

Neither of them look very good to me, but the EU version definitely looks better. The US version looks like like cheap plastic.

The US version was a fucking TANK. You could run over and decimate other consoles with it!

I had an EU controller with mine, though, lol.

Well the SNES had more well known game[or ones i know] like LOD:link to the past. That game was awesome and beat any game on the Genesis.

You know what game is strangely pretty good?

Radical Dreamers.

It's the SNES version of Crono Cross, but it's actually a text-based game. I know, it sounds lame, and it's a lot of reading, but it's actually really sweet, and it really captures the mood well with the music and sparse visuals. It's like reading a book LOL

I loooooooove the US SNES. It IS[/] a tank! Plus, I love how when you turn on a game with those blocky switches, it's like, *CLUNK*. It's really loud, and it's a great way of signifying the start of one of life's most gratifying experiences.

FUCKING SNES, YEAH!

I love the new generations, I do, very much, and they do not cease to amaze me...but in my eyes nothing will ever beat the good old SNES.

Not a chance. Shining Force 2 is like the best game ever made. Also, the Sonic games, Toejam & Earl... - Genesis was pure ownage. Of course, SNES was amazing too, but I would argue that Shining Force 2 was the best game of the generation.

I grew up with a Genesis, so I never had a SNES. But I'd say that the EU version looks much more "player friendly".
