DescriptionFaceless will be the first of its kind, being in the Action Role Playing Sub-Genre called Fencing. It features advanced AI that has never been used before, and a nostalgic faux three dimensional graphic system - with a deep storyline that will envelope the player.
The system, to best be described, takes a much more real approach of playing. Like other Action Role Playing Games, a large of the bulk of the game will take place in different areas where the player will have to fight enemies.
The difference, however, is that in Faceless, the enemies hit hard. They hit as hard as it should in a real and similar experience. One sword-wound could disable, one gun shot could kill (there won't be guns in Faceless). Because of this, the player will need to focus on avoiding damage, rather than racking up damage on the enemy. The player can get tired, the player needs to eat and sleep regularly.
The system would be designed to be intuitive and easy to use, regardless of the extra challenges the player could face in fighting. The system, though words will not do it justice, will work to make a player feel like they are in a real-life experience, where they are fighting to stay alive, instead of fighting for the sake of killing.
Faceless will also be backed up by a extensive story-line. For security reasons, only a small excerpt has been released (below), but those who sign a release will be allowed to view the story in its entirety.
The game will have 3D models built that will be conformed to a 2D realm - much like Donkey Kong Country.
Members are not expected to purchase Game Maker themselves. J.R. Creative Studios will cover this expense, and many others if they qualify.
The game will have three different modes: a single player mode, co-op for single player mode, and a completely separate story developed for a separate co-op mode. The game will be produced by J.R. Creative Studios with Game Maker.
Team members will receive royalties for their work from the project. This is a commercial game, meaning that it will be published and sold.

An excerpt from the prologue of the game:
This is a story about Anphus, the young son of a retired soldier. In the middle of the Harvest, he and his father are caught in a storm. They panic, and run for cover. They are too late, however, as they get attacked by a Faceless that ends up killing Anphus' father. Before the creature can get Anphus, a mysterious gentlemen comes out of nowhere - he commands the creature to leave... and it does - taking Anphus' father's corpse with it. The gentlemen comes up to Anphus and explains that the creature was sent by the king, along with all the others of its' kind.
He continues and explains that his father still has a chance. He tells Anphus that the King who sent them is protected by a ward, which depends on the King's three Lords to protect him. If the Lords die, the ward breaks and Anphus can get into the castle to bring his father back from the dead. The old man tells Anphus to go home and sleep, and tells him he will meet him in the morning for his decision. The old man seems to disappear, and Anphus goes home.
Because of the Faceless the King employs to keep his people in order, Anphus' town is all contained within a large fortress. When Anphus enters, he finds that the night watch is gone. Upon further exploration, he finds that the fortress has been entirely abandoned. He turns to leave, and finds that someone has locked him in... or something.* Payment will begin when the project begins selling. Payment is based on the following equation: (Total contributed hours from member/Total hours contributed by all members) x (75% of the total profit per sale). Members who contributions amount to less than a penny of revenue per sale will be ensured at least a penny for at least 6 months of membership.
