Okay, I have this really weird problem that suddenly started happening last night. When I tried to check my profile last night, I got this page saying "Internet explorer cannot find the webpage you're looking for." or something like that. I closed the internet explorer and tried to log back on to RMRK again. But now everytime I try to go to RMRK, I get the same thing! At first I thought it was some sort of problem with my internet connection, but this problem only occurs with RMRK. Every other site still works fine. What's more, I am able to access RMRK if I use another computer in the same building, which means that only my computer is having this problem.

I thought this problem might resolve itself over time, but it's been more than 24 hours now and it's still having the problem. I'm currently using a computer in the computer lab downstairs to post this, but I can only stay in here for so long before I have to give the computer to somebody else. So please, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions as to what might be causing this or, even better, how to solve this problem, let me know!

Try a hard refresh. Ctrl + F5. If that doesn't work, try clearing your cookies - well, clear everything, history, etc...

I've had this problem too logging on from a computer that requires you to sign in for access to the internet connection, except mine was on firefox. It would happen to the site that I was trying to access when it directed me to the sign in page.

Zylos

Refreshing and clearing out all cookies/history/temp files did not work. Also, I'm having the same problem with Firefox too, so it's not just a problem with Internet Explorer. This is really disturbing...

Esmeralda

I have the same problem as you, I am currently using a proxy to browse :(

Zylos

Well, good news. Following Raski's example, I'm at least able to log on to RMRK from my computer through a proxy. However, it's slow as hell to use a proxy, so I'm still open to any suggestions for alternate solutions.

Me and Roph are working to find a solution. Rest assured that this will be fixed. :police:

Shouldn't be happening anymore =)

They were 403 errors, right?

Working with some new cache modules, still needs some fine tuning it seems.

Actually, no, it's not the 403 errors. I stopped getting those a long time ago. My problem is that I can't connect to RMRK at all without having to use a proxy. I don't think it's a problem with the site, but rather a problem with my particular computer. There's probably nothing you can physically do to help me other than give me some advice.

Can you load crankeye.com, slyph.org or tayzonday.org from the PC that's unable to load RMRK?

Those are on this server but not all on the same IP address, that's why I'm curious.

And when you're unable to get RMRK up, are you able to ping / traceroute it?

start -> run -> type in cmd and go

first try "ping rmrk.net", then try "tracert rmrk.net"

Zylos

I'm unable to access any of those sites, and all that the cmd says is "Request timed out."

Roph

What's the IP of the machine you can't load it from? (PM if you don't want it public)
