As much as i hate vista, ive decided its time to jump on the band wagon. Will rpg maker run on it? Will ruby script run? Please let me know!

It should, though people have had problems with it.

I can go 32-bit, however i would like to go 64-bit, These fourms and the answer from the people here are going to be the deciding factor. Do you know what problems they bump into?

Bleck, I've heard nothing but bad from 64 bit in general. I have 32-bit and it works fine. I'd go with 32-bit to be safe, that's what I did. :3

I love you display pic and sig btw :P. You know what, i'm going to give 64-bit a try. Worst case senario i have to reformat. Ill actually post it here if i have any troubles.

I use Vista Ultimate 64-bit, works like a charm. Others with 64-bit Ultimate say it doesn't work though; I'd say it's pretty safe to switch over though.

There is the 1.03 patch which should fix some of the Vista compatibility issues, though I am not certain. When I used Vista I had no problems whatsoever, so >_>

Btw... what's this doing in the database? *moves*

I just wanted to confirm that it indeed works with vista 64-bit ultimate. I had to run as adminstrator though. Thanks for the input all!

Well to truly allow it to run on Vista you need to run it in Compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2 and then check the run as administrator box. I think then it should work because I am running RMXP with Vista ;).
