I'm not sure if cursing is alloud in the forum, but I think that my friend is going to Hell. For his new prospect that he is getting into dating.

Here is a little back story for you:
He used to baby sit someone and he fell for this girl's older sister. He dated the older sister for 3 or 4 years. Then she got into drugs, went nuts and well that is another story.

It is now 3 years since their breakup. He told me yesterday that he looked her up on myspace. Then he told me he looked up her little sister. The girl that he baby sat for. This girl is now 16 and he is 28. It has been 4 years since he seen her or his ex.

So while he was telling me this story he told me that his looking at her profile was just to see how she was doing, because she was like a little sister to him. I would love to believe him, but then it went from seeing how she's doing to talking about how hot she's come.

I told him not to say it. He said it anyway. He said he wouldn't mind dating her. Yep. That is where I was thinking he was going with the conversation. So he asked for my opinion how it would be to date the little sister of his ex. I've always been his moral center for the past 13 years that I've known him.

I had to point out that it is wrong for so many reasons.
1 ex factor. Sister of the ex
2 their age difference is really big
3 she's a minor he's not
4 he used to baby sit her

I would love to say that this girl would be too smart to go for him, but now that I'm older, I've discovered a lot of teen women go for guys in their 20s who are out of college. It seems to be a trend around here.

By "dating her" he surely means "having sex with her", right?  I think it's wrong just for that.  People should stop using each other.  It's selfish.
The other reason, pretty much has to do with selfishness as well: she is 16.  She is a girl.  Maybe not physically, but it is most probable that, mentally, she is still a girl, and will continue to be one for 8 to 10 more years (sometimes for her entire life).  It takes a lot of time and experience in life to become a real adult.  And the truth is, most of the people who call themselves "adults", are still mentally teenagers.  So let us say, this 28-year-old friend of yours is thinking like a teenager.  Typically, using the "tail", when he should be using the head.
So if your friend is intelligent enough, he will keep his "thingy" in his pants.

1. Just because she's the sister of the ex... so what? I mean, I know some people would feel reluctant about it, but if you all just discuss this between yourselves, the ex and the ex's sister... no big deal.
2. I've seen bigger age differences.
3. Well so what if she's a minor? Besides the legal issues (which would be raised in 2 years anyways) I have seen pretty mature 14 year olds and immature 50 year olds. It's a matter of perspective.
4. ...? The fact that he used to babysit her doesn't seem like any plausible obstacle? I see where the above ones would come from but not this one, unless related to 3 and 2.

Here is an update... he has been "hanging out" with the 16 year old for a month now. Sleeps over at her house, met all of her friends. Says he has slept... as in zzzz.... with her all the time. Her parents don't care... I wonder if her super jealous sister will care? :-)

As for the person that talked about their 40 year old aunt... I have this feeling that women stay their mental state whenever they get married. Like an immature 19 year old gets married at 19, she stays the same until she gets divorced because she has a husband that makes it ok for her to stay the same and not grow.
