Solar Sun Melody [RPG Maker XP]

Heyo! This is my newly recent project (In actuality I've been thinking about it for awhile) that is inspired by the Saw Movies, Phoenix Wright, Death Note, and Detective stories!

I plan to get off my lazy ass and actually make a game, I'm tired of being lazy and this game here really interests me -.-

Game's Story:
[spoiler]The story is about a nineteen year old man named Rad Sakuma. Rad, after taking a year off away from school, is aspiring to one day be a great detective since that was his main interest all the way from middle school. He heads to America from his home in Japan in search of a detective agency.

The only thing he doesn't know is that modern day case files aren't as clean as they were in the age of Sherlock Holmes....[/spoiler]

Rad Sakuma:

Information:Rad is half American, and Half Japanese. His father was an American who had a fetish with Japanese women who were school teachers. He lived in Japan for all of his life, reading detective novels like Sherlock Holmes after his father brought home his old books from America. Just recently, he moved to America a few months after his nineteenth birthday, hoping to find a detective that will take him under their wing...[/spoiler]

Break Flash Detective Agency Members:
Howard Cane:

Information: Howard Cane is the lead detective of the "Break Flash" Detective Agency in America. He is a cocky but smart twenty eight year old man. Though he seems to have his agency filled with women and feminent looking boys.... Howard is usually found on case files most of the time, and leaves wife, the second in command, to handle getting jobs and handling the workers around the agency.[/spoiler]

Alyssa Cane:

Information: Alyssa Cane is the wife of the detective, Howard Cane. She is a fully grown woman at the age of twenty seven, and during her younger years she studied in crime investigation. She sometimes wonders why Howard prefers to have feminent boys and other women in the detective agency...when he has a full grown woman that loves him. Even so, she treats the other detectives like they were her children.[/spoiler]

Haylen Young:

Information: Haylen Young is a athletic young girl with a good sense of direction. She is of the age of seventeen, and she was adopted in to the detective agency at the age of fifteen along with her younger brother. To her, Alyssa and Howard are her long lost parents.... Even if Howard is kind of...creepy.[/spoiler]

Ryan Young:

Information: Ryan Young is a smart young boy who is the younger brother of Haylen. He is only fourteen years old, but he looks and acts like a young girl. Don't let the image fool you though, Ryan has the I.Q. of a genius. Ryan loves Howard like a father, and is sad that Howard is gone on case files most of the time...[/spoiler]


Rad's High School Friends:
Drake Kidd:

Information: Drake Kidd was the popular kid who was a transfer student long before Rad entered high school. When Rad entered High School, Drake became one of the kid's only friends and protected him from ridicule for being a half American Japanese kid with natural pink hair. Drake graduated High School, instantly going to college back in America to become a Engineer.[/spoiler]

Jason Myers:

Information: Jason Myers came to teach at Rad's High School in Japan soon before Drake came to school. Jason was also going to school to be a Doctor, and soon after he got his degree in medical science he left back for America. He had a particular interest in Rad and soon became his favorite teacher.[/spoiler]

Nikku Aijou

Information: Nikku Aijou was a weird school girl that Rad knew for most of his life. She enjoys teasing him immensely and was his friend ever since she knew him. When they graduated High School, she left to somewhere else in Japan in order to become an artist. She was reluctant to leave but she knew she would see Rad again, someday.[/spoiler]

Features:
Well, I haven't really got a grip on this yet.... I would like an item system like Phoenix Wright has, and a sort of trap system like in Midnight, but I want to use it for MUCH more gory purpose.

I also don't know what to do for the combat system, if there will even be one.

Uhm, if there are any comments or suggestions you would like to make, please put them here! I will be trying to work on this as much as my can, and hopefully I won't lazily fall out of the project like I always do. >_<

If it helps, I'm sure it can be arranged for many people to flame you if you show signs of lazily falling out.  I'll make sure I'm one of the ones hurling the most abuse cuz i'd be a shame to drop somethin' as god damn interestin' as this out of laziness......

ooh, this does look pretty good. The story is nice but it's original enough that you can make this into something great for sure.

'Solar' pertains to the sun. So Solar Sun means 'sun of the sun(or something close to that). You might wanna clear up that issue, but otherwise, is interesting, can't wait for more screenshots.

UPDATE: I added the rest of the Detective Agency characters. I've had the flu so I haven't been able to work on this much, but now I'm feeling better than I was and I'm going to work on the demo.

Pathbinder: Hmm, yeah I guess, but I have the name for a story reason.... I'll change it if I can find a better one.

Everyone, thank you for your interests! Hopefully I'll be able to get the demo out soon. I'll also be working on my drawing skills so I can do the faces for the characters....but I need a scanner ;(
