Look at the homepage for the download. It's quite useful if you know how to use it.

Paint is one of the best for sprites, depending on what you're doing I suppose.

Are you sure it's MS Paint that's not doing the magic?

I mean, the only thing stopping you in there is yourself. Or the fact that there are no special "tools" to cheat with, like dodge or burn or something.

If you don't like MSPaint, try GraphicsGale. If you complain about THAT, then gtfo. dollmage works wonders with it. But still, for editing, MSPaint should be enough for you.

Okay. I will continue using MSPaint then.
I'm good with it, I was looking for something easier.  :P

A nice, free program is Paint.net

It probably won't make it any easier to edit sprites, but it is still a good program, and it's free

All these 'easier' programs confuse the fuck outta me with all the tools, cheats, gadgets, windows and other doo-hickeys...I like simple 'ole 'know-exactly-how-it-all-works' MSPaint.....

This is useful for RPG Maker, but for any other program it just isn't sensible.

I mostly use Graphics Gale, it's designed with spriting in mind, and is thus perfect for making or editing sprites. It can do a lot more than MS Paint and is super handy. However, I still often use Paint if I'm just doing something simple.
