Ill update this in parts seeing as im tired :(

Setup/Installation

youll need to get the following files:
Win-MOO
lambda moo core
Moops Client

Once you have all of those files you can get on with setting up the server

Server Setup

extract the win-moo zip and make sure the extracted files are contained in only one folder.

I personally made a folder on my desktop called moo and placed every file in the winmoo directory in

there. This makes it a lot easier for you to run and use the MOO.

Next rename the LambdaCore-17May04.db to something short and easy to type. I renamed mine to cow.db.

Place this inside the moo folder on your desktop.

You are now ready to run your moo.

Running the Server

Running the client is usually done by a command line but to help you out im going to explain what each

bit of the command does and my own example command line to get you started.

example:
start /w WinMoo.exe -l log.txt moo.db moo.db 7777

Bits:

start /w WinMoo.exe - this must stay the same and calls the winmoo executeable

-l log.txt - this sets a log parameter that keeps a log of the actions of you and other players you can

remove it if you want

first .db file - the file to read from

second .db file - the file to write to ( i usually keep this the same )

port - the port users should connect from

Batch file

I put this into notepad and save it as a .bat file and then make a shortcut. this means you get rid of
the command line :D.

Connecting to your moo

Now you need to configure moops to connect to your moo so make sure you have it running and then open moops when it starts up you will see a select a session window. choose new and then youll be presented with a session setyuppy thingy. just click the account heading and enter "127.0.0.1" for the ip and "7777" for the port and delete the word guest in the username. this should connect you to the moo.

this is where i get lost and have to play around a bit hold on.

Haimu im tired i need the loo ive got loads of work to do ill continue tomoz

you need your own server. the server interprets your code and feeds it to clients. whell get onto coding later :D
