event ending

in rpg maker xp i have an event that i want to work once but when i save and come back on it is back how do i stop this?

if you use Erase Event, the event won't come back while you're on the map.

If you want the event to STAY gone, use a self switch, and create a new event page with blank graphic, no commands, and set the condition to that self switch.
