I realize I'm a newb, and I realize that SOMEONE already knows the answer to these and is snickering in the background... but, I'll put my head out on the chopping block and ask this anyway?

1. Is there a way to have video play on game before title... I understand the way to do that is through the MAIN script and changing from

$scene = Scene_Title.new

to something like...

$scene = Scene_Opening.new

But what is the script to actually display video?

2. In this aspect, can certain skills in battle scenes allow for the playing of video, and if it does, can it play the video in the background of a battle (like a big, say Super Sayan blast, Dragonball Z style) (I saw a video from a spanish or brazilian RPG XP game where they had these tentacles rip through everything... deffo video)

I'm not 100% sure, but maybe you can grap the video player script, then fiddle around with:

What programs do you use to create videos? I'd like to create an introduction.

If you are going to make a video of a part of your game, use camstudio, which lets you record when playing a game, or doing whatever on a computer that you would like to capture.
for 3D animations, use blender.
Flash animations can be exported as AVI or something similiar for the video script.
And there are countless other programs which can help you create videos.

I personally use camstudio for recording, and 3DS max 9 for 3D animation (note: program is VERY expensive)

It all depends on what you want your movie to be about, and what kind of movie.

another 3d proggy thats good is AC3D thats the one that i use for making sculpties for secondlife.
and if you wanted to use events to make chars do what u want or somethin, you could then use FRAPS to screen cap a video of it.

I only know about it because my boyfriend uses fraps in WoW. Its pretty simple to use too hehe.

just some random ideas, hope it helps somehow.

Well, FRAPS is not really a great thing.
People use it a lot for source games (IE: HL2, portal, Half life 1, team fortress), without realizing the source recorder.
Camstudio has a lot more options, and is free, so if you don't like fraps, then use camstudio.
