Well, i'm not sure what I did, but i tried copying + pasting another skill from another game and it worked. Just, that, i'm not certain that is what solved the problem.

I think it was just my "magic learning" system that screwed everything up.

I don't use 2k3, but in XP there is a usage option, which you set to one of three things: Only In Battle, Only from Menu, Always. Perhaps the skill is set to Only from Menu?

Ragnarok

No...i don't think its that...there isn't an option for that.

But you should get a medal for that super-quick reply. :D

Post a screenshot of the skill in the skill tab

Arrow

Try this: Copy it to a new slot

It's an unseen error you cant do anything about, but this solves it. I had to do it for four of my skills.

Ragnarok

Yea. I tried that a while back. But to no avail.

First I tried copying and pasting-nope
Second I tried making a new one-nope

... :'(

What is that "Type" Option, are there ways to set and customize that?

In RPG Maker 2000,,I had sort of the same error.  Copying/Pasting the spell didn't work either.   What did it for me was that I actually copied/pasted the HERO to a new slot,,and used that new hero instead.
"If u'r about to die,,then think of how good ur life has treated u up to this point.  On the
other hand,,if life hasn't treated u good up to this point,,then take joy in the fact that
it's not going to bother u for much longer."

Ragnarok

That was a good suggestion but unfortunatly didn't work...
I also tried doing this with the class... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Anyone else got ne ideas?

Ragnarok

No. None of my dark spells work. Havn't tried my light and others yet! :'(

What I meant was where do you define those types and can I see the screen where you define the Dark Type

Ragnarok

Also,  not really sure if this affects anything, but the characters seem to run of the "default battle commands" rather than their "class commands"
