    • i got bored one evening, and went looking on the internet for a fractal program, and found Apophysis (www.apophysis.org), which generates fractal flames according to the settings you give it... sort of like terragen, but not for terrain....

    after a bit of fiddling with the controls and the editor, modifying the number of mutations and transforms, etc, i had a few images i liked... so i rendered them in desktop-sized png's (1280x1024) then shrunk them down as a maximum quality jpeg:
