Are you asking how to make one, then upload it?
Or are you asking how to change the titlescreen the title screen into one you want to use?

ok, thought so. to start with, do you know your way around in the database?

dracohaze

QuoteI mean how do you change the titlescreen from the default?
First, you must open the database.
Second, you must open the "system" page inside of the database; it should look like this:
HERE

After clicking the "SET" button next to the chosen title, it will open this:
HERE

After clicking on the title you would like to use, click the "OK" button. The chosen title will then show up as a titlescreen during TESTPLAY.

QuoteBut also, how do you upload one?
First, you have to open the "import/export resources screen":
HERE

Then open the "title folder", which is located along the left side of the screen, along with the other resource folders. After opening it, it should look like this:
HERE

Click the import button and select the picture you would like as a title.
After selecting the title, click "open". The selected picture is now selectable as a titlescreen in the database.

Any questions?
(kinda brief, because I'm in a hurry. Sorry it took so long, I was busy)

Nightwolf

Oh c'mon make a title screen and save it in your rtp forlder.
I do that.
Arlen is hot.

zxm

Thats bad, and you shouldn't do that. Import everything.

xanaxx

what size does the image have to be?

monster-doog

320 by 240 I think.
RPG Heights : A brand new high... http://www.forumsvibe.com/monsterdoog/

xanaxx

it said 'invalid color depth'..what should I do?

dracohaze

it said that when you tried to import it?

If so, it means that you saved it as the wrong file type.
Reopen the titlescreen in paint and re- "save-as" it as a
PNG file.

If it doesn't work then, show me the pic, and I'll see if
it's some other problem.

xanaxx

I can't get it to work...here i'll make a sample

that's the message it gives me when I upload the pic

here's the pic

i had to delete the other ones i had, but this image is 320x240 PNG.  what else could be wrong?

dracohaze

did you save it as a png?

xanaxx

dracohaze

It didn't work for me wither, I had this problem before.
Trying to remember what I did to fix it :?
....
It worked for me! I just transfered the picture to
"character maker 1999" and re-saved it as a png...
I'll continue to try and fix the problem, but I'm not
sure if I can get it to work again :(

xanaxx

thats odd.   what program do u make titlescreens with?

dracohaze

I don't make my own... but i used to use paint :?
Don't understand why it isn't working :whoa:

xanaxx

any1 else know what the problem is?

Blaze

Hmm ... try JPG instead of PNG

If you can change the file to JPG then do it. See if it works when you import it in JPG form.
