I have looked around a great number of sites, most of which are more concerned about the number of members they have, or the addons the site has attatched to them, without worrying about the members.

To me, the premise of RmXP and other such makers shouldn't be horde your talents and build the best game you can by just using other people's posted resources. It should be about teamwork, helping eachother with the resources we all need, and assisting eachother build the games each person wants to make.

At RM Galaxy, we have been building a family-like community, where everyone works together without flaming or ranks. Where even the mods and administrators are treated like members, rather than staff. Every member has a voice to be heard, and everyone should work together for the common goal of everyone helping eachother create the best game possible. A place where you treat others as you wish to be treated.

If you are interested in such a site, stop by RM Galaxy and have a look. To us, it isn't about the number of members, but how well the members work together.

oh ? LOL sorry, I thought the link will come with the copy >_>

Ahaha, it is actually on invisionfree! I was just guessing =p

Why do people continue to start new RPG Maker based forums on freely hosted sites? Are they after a supposed "power rush" of controlling an RPG Maker site? Or some power rush of being an admin of a forum or something?

Do they think having a (freewebs for the site, invisionfree for the forum is the most popular combo) site and forums will enhance their "corporate image"? (because, of course, almost all of the kids making games hilariously try and pass themselves off as not a kid who's found a download of RPG Maker and actually thinks they're going to make a game (or series of games, or, even more lol, an MMORPG) anybody is going to care about or play besides their friends (most that don't know RPG Maker exists) and have been talked into trying it out, but as a company or software corporation or some other complete bullshit)

Lots of the newer ones have tried using the ploy of "uniting all as one" or some other new age web2.0 "social" "community" "driven" "experience" type thing to try and get people to post on their forum or visit their site that will be dead within a year too.

Just, why?

yep id say your correct roph. power tripping... "OOOO IM ADMIN ON A FORUM WOOT". The whole posting a link for it on ANOTHER rpgmaker site that has everything that the poster's site has and more and PEOPLE.

:'(

Sophist

This place has been around quite a while. It sorta shifted off focus of RPGMaker, but there are the occasional people that help, then the people that complain that they are the only people focused on RMXP and threaten to leave but comeback, because they get on their computer and realize there is nothing else for them to post on.
Me? Phh, I just come on here to kill time.

HAY, GUYS, INSTEAD OF STARTING A RM FORUM WITH PRACTICALLY NO CHANCE OF SUCCEEDING, HOW ABOUT STARTING UP A PRACTICAL PORN SITE THAT HAS A HIGHER SUCCESS RATE. RLY.
