I am not sure if any of you had ever played any Breath of Fire game (more than likely have at least once), that game was riddled with cut scene battles. Characters hitting characters without being in battle mode, actually showing animations. I know it's possible to do it with RPGM because I've set animations to characters myself in non-battle mode. However whenever I choose autorun, it either locks up and the characters that are supposed to fight...don't. Or if I put it on parallel process (haha) it will do the animation constantly, over and over again as if on repeat.

Probably another retard question, but a little help here would be great.

am i right in saying that you want these battles in a conversation...

because then you could do it simply inside the conversation:

message: you murdered my pig!
message: never
move event hero or villian towards hero or villain so it looks like their bumping into each other...
battle animation: slash1 or whatever
then sue whatever thing you want to happen to the hero/villains status.

you just add it in the middle of the conversation

K, I already had figured that one out...but the problem I am having is with the animations and the constant locking up or repeating when I only want it to happen like once or twice per NPC.

you are such a quick learner..

use the wait and procceed with movement buttons to help you with the timing and use switches to stop npcs from doing stuff twice
holy shit my sig was big!

You're right, I just found my error    There's close to 20 characters going at it in this scene so I was bound to make a mistake somewhere. Frustration got the better part of me. Coming close to a 30MB size game...ugh...and I'm not even half way into the story line. Been working on this thing non-stop for the past 24 hours... Thanks again guys.  8)
