Question about 2003 Character System

Is there a way to allow switching (Like FF3 when your in Kefka's Tower) by the way of a key press?  I know you can add and remove party members via events, but I would like to say divide my party members into 2 groups and be able to switch between them by hitting a key.  Is that possible within 2003?

Conditional branch, (if a key pressed: Change Party Members etc.)
