I'm not actually sure. I never use facesets in games cause it makes them look like anime. But, you could try to save the file with a $ at the front, and if that doesn't work then make it 4x2 face set. You can use pretty much any image editing program. Photoshop isn't free, so you could even use MSPaint, or Gimp, etc. I shouldn't take more than 1 minute to test and see if the $ works.
