How to Set Up Inquisitors World Map Tileset
By ChaosSpartan28

Tutorial Correction – (April 28, 2007)

The file "Inq XP WM – Customization" is meant to be added to the file "Inq XP WM - World Map" if wanted. It does not have to be imported.

So you have downloaded Inquisitors world map from http://www.rpg-palace.com/artists/xpworld.php and you don't know how to set it up. Don't worry. This step by step guide should be able to help you.

First locate the file you downloaded and unzip it using winrar to a folder. If you do not have it go to http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm and download it.

Once you unzip it look inside the folder. You should have these files:

Tilesets
•   Inq XP WM – Customization
•   Inq XP WM - World Map

Auto Tiles
•   Inq XP WM - Deep Water
•   Inq XP WM – Desert
•   Inq XP WM - Medium Water
•   Inq XP WM – Mountains
•   Inq XP WM – Shallows
•   Inq XP WM – Snow
•   Inq XP WM – Trees

Now open up your current project in RPG Maker XP (any version).
Go to Tools > Resource Manager

In there select the category "Autotiles." You should see a lot of files already in there. Click on the "Import" button to the right of the files.

Go into the folder you unrared Inquisitors world map into. Find all the autotile files. (They are labeled above). Select them all or one by one.  Then click "Open"

A screen should pop up showing you each of the files you opened. What it is asking you to do is select the part of the image you want to be transparent (or not visible when mapping). Select the place filler in each image.

Click with both the left and right button of the mouse. You will notice the boxes under "Transparent Color (Left Click) and Transparent Color (Right Click)" fill up with the color of the filler. This means it won't show up when you are adding the autotile to a map. Then click ok. Do this for each.

Now go back to the resource manager, select Tileset, import, and do the same for these tilesets as you did for the autotiles. Select the white space filler and click ok. Now you should have them in the files section with red dots.

Now go to Tools > Database and select the tileset tab.

Now go to the "Array Size" button located at the bottom left of the screen. Click on it and it should say 50 (if no other tilesets were added) Increase it to 51 and it should give you a blank tileset set up sheet. Lets name it "Inquisitors World Map"

Now where it says "Tileset File" browse for the tileset "Inq XP WM - World Map" and click OK. It should now show you the tileset.

Next we want to add those autotiles to it. Look for the multiple boxes under the "Auto Linking Tiles" section and for each one select the autotiles that we added.

Now we are done. Click ok. Now to use it go to the map you want to make your world map on, right click it, and click "Map Properties" A small screen should show up.

Go to where it says "Tileset" and select "Inquisitors World Map."
Now click OK. Now you can start making your world Map with Inquisitors  World Map Tileset.

Hope this helps!

Note from me, kid27: Couldn't get piccies, sorry.
