do this

1º open photoshop (i'm using cs2)
2º open the sprite file and the heads file
3º now remove the background from the images. To do that just go to "select" them "colar range" and them select the background. (you will see that the background is selected and the rest is not)
4º now go to "select" again and chose "inverse"
5º now do copy to the image
6º them do "file" and choose "new" BUT CHOSE "TRANSPARENT" on "background contents" in the new menu
7º do paste on the new
8º do the some to the other file
9º them just chose the head you want the put it on the body... to do that just click "m" and select the head them copy to where the body is and move it to the body

i hope i helped if not just ask again

or

1. Open the 2 pics (the bodies and heads) in different Paints (the program)

2. Make sure the filler color (the random color placed in the background) is the same for both pcs

3. Use the dropper tool to copy the filler color into the right click.

4. When you select something (a head for instance) with the select tool, 2 boxes will appear at the bottm of the Tool Box section t0 your left(They have a Cylinder, Sphere, and Cube image in them). Select the one on the bottom. It allos the color in your right click to be transparent(not visible).

5. Then simply move the head onto the body pic by means of Drag-N-Drop.

You may want to open a 3rd paint program that way you can move all the imags you want from the other 2 to this one to work.

Hope that wasnt too dificult to understand.
