I know I ain't da hottest of hot. Most guys who I've dated I'd know for a while before they asked me out, but I think there has to be some physical attraction (physical atraction??? to Djang???) or it just wouldn't work.

i think both are important, but personality more than beauty. Beauty is important in most cases to start the relationship, but personality is what makes it last.

Personality doesn't matter to much on the first date. Beauty has a big part there
It's just... If the personality sucks you will break up rather quickly.

If you manage to stick through the first 2 or 3 dates and you find out the personality rules you are prone to stay even if the person's beauty is reduced significantly.

Honestly, I think we all need a bit of both to stay happy. People are shallow towards beauty by nature. But we'd kill ourselves if we had to live with an airhead for the rest of our lives.

Well, I haven't actually met someone who can make me drool all over, but here's my opinion :

You don't love a girl because she is beautiful, but she is beautiful because you love her.
So, I think beauty and personality is needed for a balance in human.

Although I chose personality than beauty any day.

Well it has been 3 months since my post. In those 3 months I've had 3 relationships.

1. extremely beautiful, but princess personality.
2. just unappealing to me, but an amazing personality. she had so many pluses.
3. abnormally gorgeous in the way Pam Anderson is, with a hick personality

Despite the amazing personality of #2, I felt nothing for her, which is really sad. There was nothing wrong, it's just that she wasn't my definition of outer beauty. Oddly enough I find myself going for #1, the princess. She's so much a princess, with a harsh personality that makes her very difficult to keep any sort of peace.
