Well... you must have it on Erase Event. Instead after winning the battle turn the event's 'Local Switch X' on.  Create a new page - requirements as Local Switch X = ON, make the page empty and as a parallel process with no graphic.

If my memory serves me right, this shall fix a problem that occurs with many things also, like chests.

EDIT: If this solves your problem add [RESOLVED] to the topic title. And I find local switches much easier than normal switches for things like these. As if the game is long enough you'd use up 400 switches of chests!

At the end of the event, below "Enemy Encounter: blah blah blah" put this:

>Switch Operation: XXX (X is the number of the switch)

Then create a new page on that same event where the condition of activation is Switch XXX. Set the graphic to blank and don't put anything else there.

Now after the boss battle, the boss will dissapear from the map.

NOTE: This is not the proper way if you are using a Custom Defeat handler.

...

You need screens.

For an event.

For a SIMPLE event...

Tch, this is all yours ataraxy2.

Thanx I figured it out. Can u please help me with recruiting another character?
I already have 4 party members. I wanna replace one of them with the one I am talking with. I wanna the replaced one to be in the same location as I find him/her.

Hi, there.
You mean like:

You: Hi wanna join my party
Him/Her: Yes
??

If so after you talk to them and you finish your message, put a event to add a party member and find the one you want, then make a Local Switch A = on, on the second page leave it blank except for an end event and parallel process.

Make sure you have the character you want in the system jsut not in your party.

Hope this helps.

I have attached a demo showing a common way to manage party member switching.

What you are asking for can be done, but I won't recommend it as I think it is too bothersome to do.

Has this been resolved or do you have further questions about how it works?
