Download from the mirror and install. Uncheck the last one which is "scripts" unless you want your games to be in Russian. You need the demo for the game first which can be d/l from www.download.com. And no, this is not the same patch as the other thread.

NOTE: There is a small bug in the maker which makes the program crash when you set a conditional branch to "Gold." There is a small way way to avoid this glitch. Make a common event and set it to "parallel process." Then make that event set a variable equal to the amount of the character's money. Then use that variable instead of the conditional branch-"Gold."

PS This works absolutely fine, no glitches, no errors. I tried it myself awhile ago.

Your bet is wrong.
This is more professional done and it's version 1.02
The other you're pointing at is version 1.01
Big difference. You can for example open projects made in version 1.02 with this while you can't do this with the 1.01 version (postality knight thingie)

Anyway you can easily spot the presence of a difference by looking at the size of the exe-files. 795 KB against 2,84 MB.

Edit: They have fixed the message window so you know actually CAN use the the 4 lines and they've implemented a scroll so you can make looong lines, whichs is nice if you use many commands.

Found a Small bug... after doing all the above... install and what have ya...

Try setting a Conditional Branch to check if your Gold is Above 10... and It crashes !!!!

Other than that I have found no other bug Yet !!!... its fantastic !!!

if simple gold conditional branches crash it then it's really not good , can anyone confirm that little bug?

I can confirm that this happens to me too.
There's also major slowdowns in the editor now and then.

Enterbrain know about this error and have a patch that you can download...

But the link seems to take you to a JAP -page that I can't make head nor tail of...

It seems this same error will happen on the full purchased copy...

A patch for a crack?
I really really doubt that, except for a patch that reverts the crack.
Besides my money branch works just fine. It's only if I use the "patch" (a.k.a different files) that it won't work.

Ah no... its seem the trial version Enterbrain released some time ago contains this little bug...

So this new Download is a replacement of the trial version... So install the one from Gamespot then use the Crack above and bingo...

Well thats what I am hoping just attempting it now !!!!

I changed RMXP back to the original version
It worked...

Try applying the patch before and after using the crack. See if the bug will disappear. :wink:

Man, lol... even though this is so cool to be able to use it for free, forever... but they spent countless hours, days, and months making the RPGMaker XP what it is today. Yeah 60 bucks is a little steep, but you should not be trying to find ways around paying for their software. I mean I hope when I become a software deveroper that I don't find any place that has any downloads, or "patches"/cracks to hack into my software, and stop people from paying. So I think everyone here should be respectful of them, and not use the P.Knights, or the cracked versions... seriously... if you spend all of the time and resources they did just to have your stuff messed with and used for free, would you like it at all?

I wouldn't exactly be trying to use the patch if my daily allowance is $2 and I can't find a way to save unless I starve myself to death for a month. Anyway, I think they should have made it at least $40 dollars. :roll:

Theres a simple way around this little bug with checking gold for a conditional branch ~_~

make a variable equal your gold and conditional branch that variable

Paying the price is no problem to me, if I have the money that is. But it's worth it in the end, don't have to worry about all these cracks and crap and just have it for aslong as you want. Something like this if I'm going to spend $60 I'd keep forever
