My name is Andrew Sarley (u may call me Andy). I have been here for a few days as of now, and have already posted a few topics requesting help with my RPG Maker which (at the time this intro was posted) have yet to be answered. My issues aside, this place so far is among the best. There's still room for competition, but still...
about me:
I am a fast learner in the basic functions of computers
I am a semi-expert in Photoshop (you have to see my drawings).
I love RPG Maker XP!
My history with RPG making:
I first started with RPG Toolkit, but it kept letting me down
. Every time I transferred my data, the pictures would be all screwed up :x . The scripting technique was also far too advanced for my taste  . Ultimately, I gave up  . Then, I found RPG Maker 2K3, and I thought "This is the one for me!"
. It was easy to use, had events that made it easy to program, had animated characters, had a side-view battle system, and was far better than Toolkit :^^: . After I found RPG Maker XP, I realized just how restricting 2K3 was  . The graphics were better (color-depth, size and format flexible) so now I could use Photoshop and RPGMXP in tandum without too many unfair rules :^^: . There are still some issues though :| ; both versions have something the other doesn't have. However, I am pleased with the transition I made, and with some help from this site, and many others, I will make my game better than ever.
I'd recommend this program whole-heartedly to anyone who wishes to start on their way to a career in game design.
My goal:
I wish to make a game about my characters, which I drew since childhood and gradually improved upon.
Weaknesses:
I may have trouble explaining my problems with RMXP, so please bear with me.
Interpretation is a problem. Please explain solutions in detail when I get confused  .
I'm bad with names.
I may go off subject (but mainly in chat, I'll try to focus in forums)
